Women's Enterprise Centre (www.womensenterprise.ca) is the leading business resource for women entrepreneurs across BC, providing business loans, training, advice, mentoring & other resources. We have created a new six month, full-time contract position in our Kelowna office for a Training and Mentoring Coordinator

As part of a dynamic team, you would assist the Skills Development Officer in setting goals, tracking performance, and planning and coordinating training and mentoring events and program delivery.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating all skills development activities including on-site, off-site and video conference workshops.
  • Creating and maintaining participant and program tracking system for mentoring program.
  • Reporting on mentoring program progress and skills development activities.
  • Assisting in the creation and monitoring of online discussion forums for mentors, mentees and workshop participants.
  • Other administrative duties such as data input, inventory tracking, production and assembly of workshop and mentoring packages.

The ideal candidate must possess the following skills and attributes:


  • Advanced skills working with MS Office (all for the PC) and a database and the ability to easily explore and learn new software
  • Professional experience in an office setting with a small dynamic team
  • Strong organization, prioritization, administrative and multi-tasking skills with a high level of attention to accuracy and detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Professional and reliable
  • High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • Entrepreneurial experience an asset
  • Writing experience an asset

Qualifications include:


  • 2+ years of professional experience in an office environment, and - A two-year, post-secondary degree or diploma in business administration or a combination of relevant education or experience.
  • Post-secondary diploma in graphic and web/digital media design.

This position is a six month contract with the potential to renew. Women's Enterprise Centre offers a competitive salary.
