General:

Our client is headquartered in Kelowna, BC, offering professional Strata Management Services across the Okanagan, and is looking for a Managing Broker, licensed in Strata Management to be actively engaged in the management of this Kelowna based brokerage.

Responsibilities:

ensure the business of the brokerage is carried out competently and in accordance with the Real Estate Services Act, regulations, inlet and bylaws;
ensure that there is an adequate level of supervision for related associate brokers and representatives and for employees and others who perform duties on behalf of the brokerage;
take steps to deal with any conduct which may constitute professional misconduct, or conduct unbecoming a licensee on the part of any related licensee, or which may be improper or negligent conduct by a related licensee or employee or other licensee of the brokerage ;
ensure that the trust accounts and records of the brokerage are maintained in accordance with the Real Estate Services act, and there is appropriate management and control of the brokerage's documents and other records.

Qualifications:

must hold a Strata Management Managing Broker licence;
must have knowledge of the Real Estate Board of British Columbia qualifications and submissions for brokerages;
must have knowledge and experience of General Meetings conducted using Robert Rules of Order;
must have experience developing or mentoring associates and representatives;
must have experience in marketing activities on behalf of a brokerage;
must demonstrate general business acumen;
any experience in brokerage related sales activities would be an advantage.
