General:

Our client is seeking an Accounting Technician to handle all accounting needs, as well as auditing their database transactions to validate delivery of key data to clients around the world. You will convey excellent interpersonal communications with customers and fellow employees, willing to help out as needed in our client's small, but rapidly expanding office. The successful candidate must be multi-functional and thrive on working in an ever-changing, dynamic market. You are tech savvy, love to learn anything new and are ready to join an energetic team.

Responsibilities:

• Calculating GST
• Bank reconciliations
• Administering group benefits
• Payroll and source deductions
• Accounts payable & receivable
• Preparing books for year-end for income tax filing
• Auditing, validating, and compiling sales items and journals in our client's database.
• Preparing monthly financial statements and special reporting in Excel
• Analyzing, troubleshooting, and handling billing and revenue issues
• Supporting their clients' accounting needs and inquiries
• Validating proper delivery of database transactions
• Troubleshooting database transaction problems
• Pulling information from database for invoicing their clients
• Contributing to our client's friendly, positive office environment

Your expertise includes:

• Excel
• Word
• Outlook
• QuickBooks Pro
• Strong Internet skills
• Formal education in accounting or equivalent experience
• Experience working within a database
